The painting is inspired by a memory of waking and the first light in the Pantanal. The beautiful stillness and noises of the birds and animals carried through the rainforest. A moment in time that I wanted to stand still and capture with simplicity.
 
I painted the ground ombre with oil to represent the sunrise. The spray-painted branches glimmer and stand out from the red sky. 
 
The Ginger Flowers are painted delicately with oil and stand tall underneath the abstract blossoms in red. 
 
The artwork was shown at The Other Art Fair in London, 7-10th March - presented by Saatchi Art.
