Hummingbird Green was inspired by traveling the coast of Brazil. I fell in love with the country and it's diversity. The high concentration of flora and fauna in their natural environment was simply stunning.
 
The hummingbirds were so incredibly beautiful, in their natural environment, they are now featured throughout my Brazil collection. I love the mix of contemporary and fine art. I used the influence of Art Deco in this piece, keeping it minimal but dramatic.
 
The combination, of block-colour painted botanical work painted in acrylic and fine art detail in the hummingbird, contrast against each other. The shades of green and pink bring the artwork closer to nature.
