Nirvana 3 is the third canvas in the triptych that I painted for the feature wall on my stand at The Other Art Fair London 2023.
 
A continuation of a scene across three canvases but also works as an individual oil painting. I wanted the piece to flow, & create a vision tranquillity & calmness.
 
Nirvana is a place of perfect peace & happiness, I wanted to put those feelings into my artwork, as they are the thoughts & feelings I have when I visit the lake that I spend time with my family. Using my own photography for inspiration.
 
I poured washes of water mixable oil over 3 canvases, then moved the oil in a way to simulate the flow and movement of natural water. Koi are a symbol of good luck and spiritual abundance. I painted three koi in each canvas, totalling nine which is also a significant lucky number.
 
My passion for interiors influences my colour pallet. I carefully plan contrasting colours together & I'm also inspired by nature itself.
 
I created 3 separate canvases with the option to keep them together or to hang as separate pieces of art.
