The artwork was shown at the Women's University Club in Mayfair, on July 5th 2024, for the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the King of Ashanti Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. A private function held by the King's nephew, Yaw Mark Nkansah-Amoyaw with speeches about the King's collectables, which are held at Windsor, V&A and The Wallace Collection. 
 
The painting was on show in my solo show IN FLIGHT at The Hyde Gallery in London, Sept 2023 and The Other Art Fair in London, March 2024 - presented by Saatchi Art. 
 
Sao Paulo is named after Brazil's vibrant city centre. One of the destinations that I visited while travelling the coast of Brazil. I wanted to capture the Latin American vibes in this piece,  which was painted with pairing colourways of botanical work from The Flight of Salvador. 
 
The vibrant oil-painted bird bursts with colour against the pale green wash of acrylic and painted twisted vines on the birchwood.
