“Saudade” is one of the most beautiful words with no English equivalent. The meaning of this word is deeply connected with the Portuguese culture and soul & widely used in Brazil.

It is a word for “dreamers” profoundly nostalgic longing for a beloved yet absent someone or something. It derives from the Latin word for solitude.
 
The painting is painted with acrylic, to give the artwork a wonderful flat look. The contrasting metallic spray-painted trees are embellished with 24ct gold leaf.
