With my background in printed textiles, I like to place symmetry and balance within my work.
 
Carefully using placement and color, I created "Still Water" in oil paint.  The painting has a graphic feel to it and the design exudes the essence of art deco—one of my major influences in my artwork.
 
Geographical swirls of water, strategically placed around the fish with light translucent washes of oil, to show the fins of the fish showing through. This piece brings a sophisticated, timeless charm that  integrates elegance and contemporary flair.
