The original artwork was shown at The Other Art Fair in London, presented by Saatchi Art - March 2024.
 
The Birds of Pipa 2 was shown in my solo show IN FLIGHT at The Hyde Gallery in London Sept 2023. 
 
The painting captures the essence of the Brazilian coast, part of my Brazil collection, the artwork is a testament to my passion for this beautiful country. 
 
After traveling the coast of Brazil for three months, my collection of works is inspired by the flora and fauna that I came across and I named the paintings after the places that I had visited. (Pria Da Pipa) 
 
The hummingbird injects a burst of color, set against a backdrop of acrylic wash & vibrant botanical work on birchwood. I painted the bird in oil in contrast so that it appears to fly from the flat acrylic. Using spray paint for the branches. 
 
The artwork is partnered with The Birds of Pipa 1, also available in fine art print.
