The artwork is currently on show in my solo show IN FlIGHT at The Hyde Gallery in London. 
 
Introducing The Sky of Iguazu, a mixed-media painting that bursts full of colour & the blue sky of Brazil.  A little hummingbird is featured hovering over tropical flowers.
 
The background is painted with layers of flat acrylic and spray-painted branches for a striking contrast with the botanical work. A shadow of a bird until closer inspection & the detail & little eye that brings the bird to life. The petals of the flowers are 24ct gold leaf.
